Pre & Post Natal-Physiotherapy

Pre-natal

Your body undergoes many changes during pregnancy: your belly swells and expands, lower back curves, and ligaments soften and stretch. While these changes are not uncommon, they may cause discomfort and pain.

Our physiotherapists can help you relieve and control conditions that arise from pregnancy, including:

  • Musculoskeletal disorders:
    • Lower back pain
    • Pubic symphysis pain
    • Sacroiliac joint pain
    • Upper back pain
    • Carpal Tunnel syndrome
    • Posture-related pain
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction:
    • Stress incontinence
    • Urge incontinence

Post-natal

As your body prepares itself for delivery, changes within the pelvis can create stress. Pregnancy and delivery may weaken the pelvic floor, resulting in incontinence and discomfort months after delivery.

After pregnancy, women may experience conditions including:

  • Diastasis Recti
  • Musculoskeletal disorders:
    • Lower back pain
