Wany Misban -
Instructor

It is easy to attribute Wany’s expertise to over 10 years of industry experience; but in reality, it is due to her personal belief that the key to a good life is moving well. Her approach to exercise is fuelled by this principle of fundamental movement and drives her to create personalized, targeted plans to unlock movement potential in her clients. She pulls from her extensive and constantly growing knowledge base – she is a graduate of sports and exercises science, certified in varied Pilates techniques (Balanced Body, STOTT, Gyrotonic), TRX, endurance and Bootcamp training, and precision nutrition among others. The results speak for themselves, as her clients experience holistic improvement in their strength, flexibility, and pain levels.

She also enjoys conducting group classes both high intensity or low impact. Wany’s classes are as challenging as they are fun. Recognised by Nike for her skills and energetic vibe, she currently holds a Master Trainer role in SoutheastAsia. She conducts training in the region and is a consultant for the SEA team for program modifications.

Wany is always looking out for new perspectives and techniques to include in her teaching arsenal. In her free time, Wany dabbles in various sports, yoga, and meditation. Her life’s work is centred around ageing gracefully to live independently without pain, for herself and the community.

Gen first started Pilates 8 years ago, in an attempt at finding a solution to scoliosis-related back pain, and it changed her life. She credits Pilates for her having a pain-free, smooth pregnancy in spite of scoliosis. Gen lives by the mantra, “Everything Happens for a Reason”, because having been a litigation lawyer, and then spending many years in the commercial insurance industry, Gen’s route to joining the movement industry was not a straightforward one. She became a Pilates instructor chiefly to share the numerous benefits of regular Pilates practice with as many people as possible. Gen strongly believes that the mind-body connection fundamental to Pilates practice makes for safe and effective movement. Regular Pilates practice results in functional movement because it builds not only strength and flexibility, but also trains balance and proprioception. This means that Pilates can complement practically every lifestyle and fitness regime, whether a person is into high-impact sport, low-impact flow, or just wants to be able to balance better on a crowded bus! Pilates exercises can be modified almost limitlessly, making Pilates suitable for people of all ages and physical conditions (professional athletes, those with injury/chronic pain, pregnant women, etc.)
Sudha was introduced to Pilates in 2007 when she received 10 Pilates session as a birthday gift and she hasn't looked back since then. Starting out as a client she found it helped with her own knee issues and lower back pain. She slowly got interested in learning as well. Starting with BASI course in 2008, she then went on to do the Mat, Reformer and Apparatus course from Balanced Body. With her interest in learning new methods of helping clients, she continued with her CoreAlign course and certification. She has always been interested in Women's health and has furthered this by learning how Pilates helps with various women's health issues.
Fiona is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor, and a lifelong student dedicated to 360-degree wellness. She is fully certified in Matwork and Reformer, trained in Cadillac, Stability Chair and Barrels, and is also trained in Pre-natal and Post-natal Pilates. Pilates has benefitted Fiona greatly through better body awareness and an improved posture. She believes that understanding and adopting a good posture and movement patterns help significantly in improving one's quality of life. A scoliosis patient who has greatly benefitted from Pilates herself, Fiona is eager to share her knowledge and help students achieve their own Pilates objectives. “I'm committed to help clients learn to read their bodies, be aware of their postures and way of movement, and help them build a stronger body, inside and out.”
