Shameera graduated from The Trinity College Dublin with a BSc in Physiotherapy. Having worked in both public hospitals and private clinics, Shameera has gained a plethora of experience in treating both neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Her rotations in the public sector gives her the confidence to treat her clients effectively.
She is passionate in treating pain in the back and knees as these are conditions often interrupt a person's daily activities and she is empathetic to understand that this can be rather frustrating for her clients. She enjoys treating clients with neurological injuries as she feels involved in the healing journey her clients and family members are part-taking.
As a physiotherapist, Shameera hopes to promote her clients’ quality of life by actively involving them in the rehabilitation process via education and setting realistic goals with them. She combines manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve her clients’ mobility to help restore function.
Outside of work Shameera enjoys rock climbing, practising yoga, and travelling.
