Lisa's career in the fitness industry started in 2002 and she has not stopped learning about or teaching movement since. Movement and the mind are her passions whether it be for rehabilitation, general life or sports specific. As an accomplished triathlete; she came first in her age group in IronMan UK 2012 (3.8km swim, 180km bike, marathon) helping people achieve sporting goals is of great interest to her - especially when it comes to the mind and how it affects performance. Having also suffered from a bulging disc in 2013 and having ‘rebuilt' herself from severe nerve pain to being able to compete again she also understands first hand what it takes to overcome injury and fear. Had it not been for Pilates she would not have been able to return to normal everyday life activities as quickly as she did.

Her philosophy regarding movement is simple: the body likes to and needs to move, and the greater variety of ways we can move and the more we enjoy it, the better for us mentally and physically. She uses Pilates equipment in her sessions as well as all other toys available to create an hour tailored towards what the body needs. Everyone is unique and has individual motivation and ways of learning - Lisa's goal is to inspire and empower clients for everyday life. She has been inspired by books by Mabel Todd (The Thinking Body) , Frank Forencich (Beautiful Practice) and Todd Hargrove (A Guide to Better Movement) and her triathlon coach Matt Koorey continues to be a source of inspiration for her too.

In 2010 she became a Balanced Body faculty member trained directly under co-founder Nora St John, and a Core Align Master Trainer trained under creator Jonathan Hoffman and loves to share what she has learnt over the years with trainers of any experience. In 2014 she became a 3rd generation trainer under the Cara Reeser/Kathy Grant Heritage Training, Kathy Grant being a student of Joseph Pilates himself and Cara Reeser a student of Kathy's.
