Precautionary Measures in response to the Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease) cases in Singapore

Dear Clients,
With the recent developments of the Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease) situation globally, The Moving Body Group (which constitutes The Moving Body and The Movement Academy) is strengthening measures to minimise the risk of community spread in Singapore. For the safety and well-being of all clients and staff, we will be implementing some preventive measures at The Moving Body Group.

Current Situation

It has been observed that there have been increasing confirmed cases of the Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease) and local case with no link to previous cases and no travel history to China, it is vital that The Moving Body Group take precautionary measures to limit the risk of being exposed to the virus.

Everyone accessing The Moving Body Studios

1. From 29 January 2020, 8AM, all admin personnel, instructors, clients and family will be required to take their temperatures upon entry. All staff will be required to take their temperature at least twice daily. The studio will have the right to refuse anyone if your temperature is tested to be higher than 37.5 Degrees Celsius or show respiratory symptoms such as cough, runny nose.

2. Travel declarations will also be required of all visitors upon entry. Anyone with recent travel history to China will be refused entry as they would have been issued an advisory to take a 14-day leave of absence from the day they return from China.

3. Those who are unwell or exhibit any signs of respiratory symptoms such as cough, fever, shaking chills, cold or shortness of breath should wear a mask and see a doctor immediately and refrain from coming in.

4. If you have been put on a leave of absence, please stay at home and avoid social contact. Seek medical attention immediately if you develop any fever or symptoms of acute respiratory symptoms such as cough, cold or shortness of breath.

6. Any cancellation charges for classes or sessions will be waived within 12 hours’ notice and with the proof of your medical certificate.

In-Studio Hygiene Practices

1. All our studios are equipped with hand sanitisers for your use.

2. Studio equipment and facilities will be cleaned and sanitised regularly including commonly used areas.

Stay Calm and Be Responsible

We can all play a part by being socially responsible and practice good personal hygiene habits. The Moving Body Group will be offering masks to anyone who would like to take extra precautions during their class or sessions.

We encourage clients to use a towel during their class and practise hand washing with soap before and after the session.
