Ai Lin's passion for sports and physical activity began when she was a competitive swimmer and netball player in school. She later fell in love with distance running and has competed on numerous marathons and half marathons over the last 2 decades leading her to pursue a career in fitness and health, culminating in a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and numerous certifications in bodywork and fitness. This ASEAN scholar gave up a legal career to retrain in the health sciences immediately after she decided against a desk-bound life.

To date, she has garnered over 19 years of teaching and body work experience having worked with athletes, youths and disabled children. She spent some time at the Singapore Sports in both the Strength and Conditioning and Physiotherapy Departments, and realised early on, the benefits of incorporating a Pilates -based repertoire into the athletes' strength and conditioning and was tasked by the then, Head Physiotherapist, to help introduce Pilates and MediBall® exercises to the students.

Ai Lin volunteered at the Singapore Disability Council's track and field program, and over the last 2 years, has implemented a strength and conditioning, and fall's prevention program for a group of senior citizens at a local day care centre.

She is passionate about helping people understand the benefits of exercising correctly and has seen how Pilates can help even the most seasoned athlete achieve efficient movement, improve performance and prevent overuse injuries. She continues to learn and keep up with current developments in the field recently completing a GYROKINESIS® pre-training course in order to appreciate other whole-body, fascia-related movement strategies.

She has been studying French as a foreign language for the last two years, and has just attained her second DELF diploma from the French Ministry of Education in May 2015.
